Categories help to keep your feedback organized in a way that makes the most sense for you and your team. You and your team can add the categories yourself or you can allow your users to add categories when they submit feedback.

When you create a new project, it will come with default categories that match the widget template that you've chosen. However, it's really easy to change categories at any time.

Edit categories

You can easily add or edit the categories in each of your projects.

Go to Settings and Select General

Under the Category heading, you have a few options;

  • Click on an existing category to rename it

  • Click the x to delete the category, or,

  • Click the + to add your own categories

❕Don't forget to Save Changes

πŸ“˜Note - You can add up to 20 categories per project.

Add categories to the feedback form

Based on the type of feedback you're collecting, you may decide to let people choose a category when reporting feedback.

For example, as a software company, you may decide to let users categorize their feedback as either bugs, improvements, or questions.

Go to Settings and Select Widget

Go to the Feedback Form

Toggle on Category, you can also make this mandatory

Adding and Removing categories to feedback and designs

You can also add and remove categories to the feedback already captured from the Feedback Viewer.

Within the Feedback viewer, go to Details Tab

Under Category you can either;

  • Click the + to add categories from a drop-down list

  • Click the x to remove an unwanted category
