Learn how to publish your feedback to the Portal, access project settings, and link the Portal from your feedback widget.
How to Navigate to the Portal Settings
From your overview page, select 'Feedback Portal' to navigate to the Portal.
Then, choose 'Portal Settings' from the top right menu.
Publish to the Feedback Portal
You can publish all feedback submitted to Userback to the public portal for other users to vote and collaborate on. Or you can choose to manually send feedback to the Portal.
There are two ways to publish feedback to the portal:
1. Publish Automatically
Navigate to Portal settings and select 'General' Tab
Scroll to 'Moderation' and toggle on to automatically publish when submitted.
📘Note: Automatically publishing feedback will remove some control you have over your public-facing portal. This may not be suitable depending on the type of feedback you receive and how you are using our product.
2. Publish Manually
Publishing manually can be done either by the Feedback Viewer or the Options Menu on the Feedback Page.
Feedback viewer
Set Feedback Type to "Idea":
Open the feedback, scroll to "Details," and choose "Idea" from the "Type" dropdown.Enable Portal Visibility:
Set the "Portal Visibility" option to "Yes" to make it visible on the portal.
Via the Options menu
To publish from the Options Menu, click on the ellipsis menu next to the selected feedback and choose "Publish" from the options. Once published, the feedback will appear on the portal, where you can add comments, edit the original feedback, change its status, or unpublish it if needed.
Link to the feedback portal from the widget
If you have the Userback Widget installed on your website or web app you can configure it to directly load your Feedback Portal using the portal URL rather than using the standard feedback form.
Navigate to Edit Widget
Expand the Idea form
Select the 'Redirect to Portal' checkbox
Click 'Save Changes'
