Single Sign-On (SSO) for Your Workspace

How to set up SSO for logging into your own Userback account (distinct from the customer-facing Ideas Portal SSO).

How to enable SSO so your team logs into Userback through your own identity provider.

This is account-login SSO, for your team signing into the Userback app itself. It's a separate configuration from SSO on your Ideas Portal, which controls whether portal visitors need to sign in. See Single Sign-On (SSO) for Your Ideas Portal for that one.

SSO is available on Enterprise plans and is set up with support, not through a self-serve toggle.

Set up SSO

  1. Contact Userback support at support@userback.io to start the conversation. A team member will schedule a call to go over your requirements.

  2. Userback configures SSO on your account using WorkOS, and emails you once setup is complete.

  3. Configure the connection on your identity provider's side, using the details support provides.

Once SSO is enabled, your team can no longer create new Userback accounts with their email address. The domain is locked to SSO login.

Switch back to email and password login

If you need to move an existing SSO user back to email and password login, contact support to disable the SSO connection for that account. Once it's disabled, use the forgot password link to set a password, since the account won't already have one.
