How to Choose the Right Userback Plan

Userback offers four plans: Free, Team, Business, and Business Plus, plus an optional Feature Portal add-on. This guide explains what each plan includes, who it's best suited for, and how to decide which one is right for your team.

Quick answer: Most product teams with an established app and a team of 2 or more people start on Business. If you need Mobile SDK, advanced privacy controls, REST API access, or SSO, you need Business Plus.

Always unlimited: On every Userback plan, including Free, the number of feedback submissions you can collect and the number of end users who can submit feedback is always unlimited. Plans differ in team seats, features, and project limits, not in feedback volume.

Free plan

The Free plan gives you access to Userback's core features at no cost. It's designed for early-stage teams or individuals who want to try Userback before committing to a paid plan.

Best for: Solo founders, small teams exploring Userback for the first time, or teams with light feedback needs.

  • 7-day feedback availability (feedback older than 7 days is not accessible)

Important: The Free plan limits feedback history to 7 days. If you need to access older feedback, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Team plan $29 / month (billed annually)

The Team plan removes the Free plan's core limitations and adds project management integrations. It's the starting point for teams that need Userback as a permanent part of their workflow.

Best for: Small product or development teams that need unlimited feedback history and want to connect Userback to tools like Jira or ClickUp.

Everything in Free, plus:

  • Unlimited feedback availability no 7-day limit

Business plan $79 / month (billed annually)

The Business plan is Userback's most popular plan. It includes the full feature set for product teams: session replay, AI-powered feedback analysis, user surveys, automation, and developer tools.

Best for: Established product teams with thousands of active users who need to centralize feedback, understand what users are experiencing, and act on insights faster.

Everything in Team, plus:

  • 25 feedback projects

  • Session replay with every feedback submission for full context

  • AI features analyze, classify, and surface your feedback automatically, generating sentiment analysis, feedback titles, and Insight themes across your projects. AI Assist also flags similar feedback, helps refine your written responses, and summarizes feedback submitted via Slack.

Business Plus adds enterprise-grade features for teams that need mobile feedback collection, advanced security controls, deeper API access, or compliance requirements.

Best for: Product teams with a native mobile app, teams requiring REST API or Webhook access for custom integrations, and organizations with SSO or advanced privacy requirements.

Everything in Business, plus:

Feature Portal add-on $31 / month (billed annually)

The Feature Portal is an optional add-on available on any paid Userback plan. It gives your users a dedicated space to submit feature requests, vote on existing ideas, and follow your public roadmap.

Best for: Teams with a large, active user base who want to involve users in the product roadmap letting them vote on what gets built next and see progress on shipped features.

  • Portal announcements communicate updates directly to voters

Free → Team

  • Your team has grown beyond 2 people and someone can't access Userback

  • You keep losing feedback because it disappears after 7 days

Team → Business

  • A user reports a bug but you can't reproduce it, so you need session replay and console logs

How Userback pricing compares

Userback pricing is straightforward, a flat monthly cost with no charges based on feedback volume, session count, or monthly active users. This means the cost stays predictable as your user base grows: collecting feedback from 10,000 users costs the same as collecting from 1,000.

All Userback plans include unlimited feedback collection and unlimited end-user reporters. There are no caps on how much feedback you can receive.

Q: Can I try Userback before committing to a paid plan?

A: Yes. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial at Business Plus level, so you can experience the full Userback feature set before being charged. No credit card is required to get started. The Free plan is also available indefinitely with no expiry.

Q: Is the Feature Portal included in my plan?

A: No. The Feature Portal is an optional add-on available on any paid plan, Team, Business, or Business Plus. It lets users submit feature requests, vote on ideas, and follow a public roadmap. It is priced at $31 per month billed annually ($39 per month billed monthly) and is not included in any plan by default.

Q: Can I change my plan at any time?

A: Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings under Billing. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to the new plan's features. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Q: What happens to my feedback if I downgrade to the Free plan?

A: The Free plan only retains feedback for 7 days. If you downgrade from a paid plan, feedback older than 7 days will no longer be accessible. Your data is not deleted immediately, but it will not be visible until you upgrade again.

Q: Do I need Business Plus for access to the Mobile SDK?

A: Yes. The Mobile SDK is only available on Business Plus. If your primary reason for considering Business Plus is the Mobile SDK, keep in mind that Business Plus also includes unlimited projects, REST API access, Webhooks, SSO, and advanced privacy controls, so you may find additional value beyond mobile.

Q: Does Userback include AI features?

A: Yes, the Business plan and up have AI Features. AI Assist automatically classifies feedback type, generates titles, analyses sentiment, and flags submissions that need a response. Auto Categorization uses AI to assign categories to incoming feedback automatically. Insights, also available from Business, analyses your feedback and surfaces recurring themes across your user base.

Q: Does Userback have an enterprise plan?
