Capture and Annotate Feedback with the Browser Extension

How to take a screenshot or screen recording with the Userback browser extension and mark up what you're reporting.

Take a screenshot

  1. Open the extension and select the Capture tab.

  2. Choose what to capture: Selected area, This tab, or Entire page.

  3. Userback opens the capture in its editor, ready to annotate.

Record your screen

  1. Open the extension and select the Record tab.

  2. Choose Full Desktop or Current Tab.

  3. Stop the recording from the extension when you're done; it attaches to a new feedback item the same way a screenshot does.

Annotate your capture

After taking the screenshot, annotate it using tools the following tools: Box, Pencil, Line, Arrow, Blockout, Text, and Color Picker.

To submit the screenshot complete the form: Select a site, priority, assignee, category, title and leave a comment. When AI tools are enabled on your workspace, AI can generate a title for the feedback.

Check your notifications

New replies and status updates on feedback you've submitted through the extension show up as notifications directly inside the extension popup. Keep it pinned to your browser toolbar so you don't miss one.
