Every method ends up with the same widget on your site, connected with the same access token. Pick whichever matches how your site is built and who's doing the install.
What you'll need
Your site's access token, from the left menu </> Install Userback
The domain you're installing on, added in Userback so the widget is allowed to run there. See Managing Domains.
Choose how to install
Code. Paste a JavaScript snippet, or install via npm with a framework-specific package.
This is the right choice if you can edit your site's source and want the widget to load as part of the page itself.
Full instructions, including the exact snippet for each framework and how to verify installation, are in the Widget Installation Methods guide on the Developer Docs. You can also add the same code through Google Tag Manager instead of editing your site directly. See the Google Tag Manager setup guide.
Mobile apps (iOS, Android, React Native). A separate SDK for native and React Native apps, on the Business Plus plan, with a Mobile SDK Key instead of a widget access token (create one under Workspace Settings > Mobile SDK Key). Full install steps for each platform are in the Widget Installation Methods guide.
Browser extension. Capture and submit feedback from any page, including ones you can't edit the code of. See Installing the Userback Browser Extension.
WordPress. See Using Userback with WordPress.
Shopify. See Using Userback with Shopify.
What's next
Managing Domains: add and verify the domains your widget can run on.
How to Identify Users: link submissions to a real user profile instead of an anonymous visitor.
