Full Session Replay records every visit to the domains you choose, so you can watch how people use your site even when they don't report anything. Userback's code must already be installed on those domains. See Install the Userback Widget on Your Website.
On this page
Turn on recording for a domain
Click Replays in the left sidebar.
Click Settings. On a site with no recordings yet, you can also click Turn on Full Session Replay.
On the Domains tab, find the domain. Each domain shows whether it's Verified and when Userback last saw it.
Turn on the toggle next to the domain.
You'll see "Full session replay turned on for" followed by the domain. New visits to that domain are recorded from then on.
Set privacy rules
Go to the Privacy Rules tab. Three rules are set up for you, and each has a gear icon to change it.
Block (
.userback-block): the element and everything inside it is left out of the recording completely.Ignore (
.userback-ignore): the element's layout is kept, but anything the user types into it isn't recorded.Mask (by default
input[type="email"]andinput[type="password"]): text is replaced with placeholder text shaped like the original, so the layout stays readable and the content doesn't.
To apply a rule, add its class to the element in your site's code, for example <div class="userback-block">, or add a CSS selector to the rule using its gear icon.
Rules for the short Session Replay attached to feedback are set separately, in Feedback > Settings > Privacy.
Choose developer data
Go to the Dev Tools tab and choose what's captured with each recording.
Console logs: Log, Warning, Info, Debug, and Error (including JavaScript runtime errors). All are on by default.
Network Requests: CSS, JS, image, font, XHR, and other requests. Off by default.
Turn recording off
Open Replays > Settings and turn off the domain's toggle on the Domains tab.
