Manage My Notification Settings

How to choose which Inbox and email notifications you get for each site and survey, including Focus mode and the weekly summary.

Written by Jon

Notification settings are personal. They change what you receive and don't affect anyone else on your team.

Open Notification Settings

Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and select Notifications. You can also open Notification Settings from the Inbox.

The Notification Settings panel has two tabs: Email Notifications and Inbox Notifications.

Inbox notifications

On the Inbox Notifications tab, each of your sites is listed with a row for Feedback and a row for each of its surveys. Choose a level for each row:

  • Default: Userback's recommended settings.

  • Focus mode: keep track of your own work without the noise.

  • Silent: no Inbox notifications for that row.

What each level includes for feedback:

  • Default: new unassigned feedback, feedback assigned to you, feedback that mentions you, feedback you've commented on, and feedback you're following.

  • Focus mode: the same, except new unassigned feedback.

  • Silent: none of these.

Focus mode suits the person who triages a busy site: they see what's theirs and skip everything else.

Email notifications

On the Email Notifications tab:

  • When new feedback is received in the selected sites: choose the sites.

  • When new response is received in the selected surveys: choose the surveys.

  • When an idea is voted in the selected sites: choose the sites whose Ideas Portal votes you want to hear about.

Under Feedback Activities, turn on the emails you want:

  • Someone @mentions me in any comments

  • Someone responds to my comments

  • Someone assigns me a feedback

Under My feedback, which covers feedback you reported, are assigned to, or follow:

  • Someone comments without @mentioning me

  • Status or Assignee is changed

Under Weekly Summary, turn on Send a weekly summary email for all sites for a digest of the week's activity.
