Understand Your Report Charts

What each stat tile and chart on the Reports dashboard measures, in plain language.

Written by Jon

This article defines what you're looking at on the Reports dashboard. For how to open Reports, switch its time range, or add a chart, see Userback Reports.

Stat tiles

  • Feedback. A count of feedback submitted in the selected date range.
Sentiment. A rolled-up read on how positive or negative incoming feedback has been over the selected range.

  • Resolution Time. How long it's taking, on average, to move feedback from open to resolved over the selected range.

  • Requiring Action. A count of feedback that still needs a response or a status change.

Feedback breakdown charts

These charts all break your feedback volume down by a different dimension. Each one is a bar or donut-style chart you add from the Report Gallery, and each has its own i info icon, a Daily/Monthly grouping dropdown, and a ··· menu to refresh or remove the chart.

  • New Feedback By Type. New feedback submitted over time, broken down by type (Bug, Task, Idea, General).

  • New Feedback By Source. New feedback submitted over time, broken down by where it came from (the widget, the browser extension, email forwarding, the API, and similar sources).

  • Feedback By Sentiment. Your feedback volume broken down by sentiment category (positive, neutral, negative) rather than shown as a trend over time.

  • Feedback By Priority. Feedback volume broken down by priority (Urgent, High, Neutral, Low).

  • Feedback By Status. Feedback volume broken down by workflow status (Open, In Progress, Under Review, Resolved, and any custom statuses you've added).

  • Feedback By Category. Feedback volume broken down by category tag (the same tags managed under Manage Categories).

  • Feedback By Browser. Feedback volume broken down by the reporter's browser.

  • Feedback By Platform. Feedback volume broken down by the reporter's operating system or platform.

  • Feedback By Location. Feedback volume broken down by the reporter's location.

  • Feedback Activity. A view of activity on feedback items over time, rather than just new submissions, for example comments or status changes as well as new items.

  • Feedback By Device. Feedback volume broken down by device type (desktop, tablet, mobile).

  • Feedback By Assignee. Feedback volume broken down by which team member it's assigned to.

  • Feedback By User. Feedback volume broken down by which identified user submitted it.

Sentiment and resolution charts

Overall Sentiment. A chart of your sentiment trend over the selected time range, the chart-form counterpart to the Sentiment stat tile above.

Time To Resolve. A chart of how your resolution time trends over the selected range, the chart-form counterpart to the Resolution Time stat tile.

Widget and page charts

  • Widget Impressions. How many times your feedback widget loaded on a page over the selected range. This tracks the widget being present and running, not necessarily someone interacting with it.

  • Feedback By Page. Feedback volume broken down by which page on your site it was submitted from, useful for spotting which specific pages generate the most reports.
