User Roles and Permissions Reference

Written by Jon

What each Userback role, Account Owner, Administrator, Collaborator, and Guest, can see and do in your workspace.

Userback has three assignable roles, Admin, Collaborator, and Guest, plus a separate Account Owner designation held by one Admin per workspace.

  • Account Owner: Has full access to the account. The owner is also listed as an Administrator, and there can only be one Account Owner per workspace. Owners can additionally delete the account, which no other role can do.

  • Administrator: Has the same access as an Account Owner, except for deleting the account.

  • Collaborator: Has limited access for people who contribute to feedback and collaboration but don't need full control.

  • Guest: Has restricted access for external stakeholders, like clients or customers, who need to view and comment on feedback without seeing your project or workspace settings.
