What a site is

A site is where Userback collects and manages feedback for one website or app. Each site has its own domain, feedback widget, Surveys, integrations, members, and feedback. Create separate sites for different products, clients, or environments, such as production and staging.

Create a site

  1. Go to the Sites page.

  2. Click + Create.

  3. Enter a Site Name.

  4. Under Domains, enter the URL where Userback will run. Click + Add domain to add more.

  5. Optionally upload a logo and add a description.

  6. Click Create.

The new site opens on its Getting Started page, which walks you through installing Userback, connecting integrations, and inviting members.

Switch between sites

Click the Site switcher at the top of the left sidebar and select a site. Click Manage sites to go to the full Sites page.

On the Sites page, use the All, Active, and Archived tabs, the search icon, and the sort dropdown to find a site.

Move feedback to another site

  1. Open the feedback item, or find it in the list or board.

  2. Click the ... menu and select Move.

  3. Choose the destination site, then set the assignee and status for the item in its new site.

  4. Confirm the move.

You can only move feedback to sites you have access to. To move several items at once, select them first and use Move from the bulk actions bar.

Archive or delete a site

  1. On the Sites page, click the ... menu on the site's card.

  2. Select Archive or Delete, then confirm.

Archiving takes the site offline but keeps its data, so you can restore it later from the Archived tab. Deleting is permanent.

Frequently asked questions

Do integrations keep working when a site is archived?

No. Integrations pause as soon as a site is archived, and resume if you restore it.

Does the Ideas Portal stay online when a site is archived?

No. Archiving takes the site's Ideas Portal offline. Restore the site to bring it back.

Do I get a reminder before an archived site is deleted?

Yes. Userback emails you 30 days before an archived site is deleted, and the site's card shows a countdown.

Can I recover a deleted site?

No. Deleting a site is permanent. If you might need it again, archive it instead.

Who can move feedback between sites?

Administrators and Collaborators. This keeps sensitive feedback with the people authorized to see it.

What happens to a feedback item's links when I move it?

Its share URL changes, because the URL includes the site's ID. Its screenshot and attachment URLs change too. This can affect old email notifications and any integration that links back to those files.

Do the new site's integrations apply to moved feedback?

Yes. If the destination site has integrations with automatic rules, those rules apply to feedback you move into it.

What happens to merged feedback when I move it?

You can choose to move all the merged items together.
