A rage click is a user clicking the same element repeatedly in a short span, usually a sign of frustration: a button that isn't responding, a link that looks clickable but isn't, or a form that's silently failing to submit.
How it shows up in a session replay
Rage clicks are captured automatically as part of Session Replay. Open a recording and check the Events panel: it's a chronological log of everything that happened during the session, including plain clicks, rage clicks, and form events like focusing a field or submitting it.
A rage click appears in this log as its own distinct event, separate from a normal click, so you can spot it in the timeline without watching the full recording.
Click a rage click event to see which element it hit. Scrubbing back a few seconds from there usually shows you what the user was trying to do right before they started clicking repeatedly, which is often more useful than the click itself for understanding what went wrong.
